These metric prefix flashcards cover all 24 SI prefixes currently recognized by NIST, from quetta at 10^30 to quecto at 10^-30. The 72 cards practice exactly three mappings for every prefix: name to case-sensitive symbol and power of ten; symbol to name and power of ten; and power of ten to name and case-sensitive symbol.

Case matters. M is mega while m is milli, and P/p, Z/z, Y/y, R/r, and Q/q also represent different prefixes. Each front labels the cue and requested mapping, so a bare symbol or exponent stays unambiguous on mixed-review and standalone surfaces. Each back starts with the answer.

The deterministic sequence begins with familiar metric prefixes, expands toward the extremes, and interleaves all three recall directions. Variants of the same prefix stay far apart, with at least three unrelated cards between them. Confusing uppercase and lowercase symbols are separated too.

This is a focused metric prefix quiz, not a full SI course. It excludes conversions, full decimal expansions, SI base and derived units, unit examples, pronunciation and spelling drills, IEC or binary prefixes, historical prefixes, and 10^0, which has no prefix. There are no card images.

The NIST Metric (SI) Prefixes page supplies the factual ledger. The prompts, answers, selection structure, metadata, sequence, and generated cover were independently authored; no NIST prose, examples, layout, or media were copied. Facts aren't claimed as proprietary. The original wording, organization, metadata, and cover are dedicated under CC0 1.0 to the extent applicable rights exist.
