AP Biology Flashcards: Complete 8-Unit Course Review
The current AP Biology framework covers eight units, from chemistry of life through ecology. This 540-card deck turns that full course into short, original retrieval prompts, with science-practice reasoning mixed into the biology instead of parked in a separate section.
What the cards practice
The cards connect terms to functions, structures to consequences, pathway steps to inputs, outputs, locations, and regulation, and evidence to biological claims. Separate prompts cover useful reverse mappings when they are real study tasks—for example, identifying a process from its location or choosing the inference supported by a result. Short original scenarios also practice describing patterns, explaining mechanisms, predicting changes, justifying claims, setting up calculations, and evaluating evidence.
The deck does not mechanically reverse every definition or pathway. It leaves out copied exam material, scoring language, official figures, exhaustive protocols, broad essay prompts, textbook-specific trivia, and advanced-college details outside the current course boundary.
Learning order
The sequence follows Units 1–8. Within each unit it moves from prerequisites to processes, applications, experiments, data, and FRQ-style reasoning, while spacing close variants apart. Long-term spacing and interleaving are left to the review scheduler.
What still needs practice
Flashcards are useful for recall and small reasoning moves, but they cannot replace laboratory work, graph construction, extended data analysis, or timed multiple-choice and free-response practice. Use the deck beside class labs and full original practice questions.
